PE Evaluation

PE進歩の評価 #2

My goals for this years were simply put:

1. Speak like a native in terms of fluency of tone, speed of conversation, as well as plenty of confidence.

2. Improve my handwriting.

3. Be able to get around in Japan.

----------------------

After 13 weeks of Japanese, I re-evaluate my progress!

1. Compared to the midterm, I believe I have improved immensely! Although I did less anime PE for this second half of the semester, I practiced more dialogue based PEs, and I think that has helped me a lot. I feel confident talking, just not with native speed yet. But that will come with hopefully just a few more years of practice. PE's far-reaching effect will manifest itself in PII.

2. My handwriting is officially better in Japanese than Korean. My Chinese writing also helps my Japanese. I think I am making good progress!

3. This one will be tested this summer at Kanazawa. I am beyond excited to go, and what better way to test my new skills than to go to the country. I can practice and learn there while using the little bit of fluency I gained from doing PEs. I am very grateful for Shibata sensee's guidance in my pronunciation!

Thank you for a wonderful semester.
